There is something so special about watching a family grow in front of your camera. I first met Anneca and Dillon when I photographed their engagement, followed by their wedding. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of documenting some of the sweetest chapters of their lives—including becoming parents to their two beautiful daughters, Winsor and Ember.

Now, getting to photograph the Fagg family as a family of four is something I truly treasure.

A Family Photography Session at Home

For this Fagg family session, we spent time together at their home in Greencastle, Indiana. There is something incredibly meaningful about photographing a family in a place that is already part of their story.

Rather than worrying about creating perfectly posed photographs, we focused on the things that make this family uniquely them. There were smiles, cuddles, laughter, playful moments between sisters, and plenty of opportunities to simply enjoy being together.

Those are the moments I love most as a family photographer. The photographs become more than pretty portraits—they become a little snapshot of what life felt like during this season.

Meet Winsor and Ember

Of course, the stars of this session were Winsor and Ember!

Winsor has always brought so much personality to our sessions, and watching her step into her role as a big sister has been so sweet. Ember adds another layer of joy to their family, and I loved capturing the two girls together.

Sibling photographs are some of my favorite images to create because they preserve a relationship that will continue changing throughout their lives. The little looks, the giggles, the way they interact, and even the imperfect moments are all part of their story.

One day, Winsor and Ember will be grown, and these photographs will give them a glimpse back at the little girls they once were.

Documenting a Family Through the Years

One of my favorite things about being a photographer is getting to grow alongside my clients.

The Fagg family is a perfect example of why I love photographing families in Greencastle and throughout Central Indiana. I’ve been able to photograph Anneca and Dillon through multiple milestones, beginning with their engagement and wedding and continuing into parenthood.

It is such an honor when clients trust me to document these different seasons of life.
