Senior sessions are always special, but every once in a while, a session comes along that tells an even bigger story. Sam, a high school senior from Colorado, was visiting Indiana, and we took advantage of the opportunity to create senior portraits at one of Indiana’s most beautiful natural locations—Cataract Falls.

As an Indiana senior photographer, I love when seniors choose locations that offer unique scenery, and Cataract Falls never disappoints. With its waterfalls, wooded trails, and peaceful atmosphere, it provided the perfect backdrop for Sam’s senior session.

A Colorado Senior Session at Cataract Falls

Although Sam calls Colorado home, he was spending time in Indiana when we planned his senior photos. Instead of a traditional urban location, we chose Cataract Falls for its natural beauty and relaxed setting.

The combination of rushing waterfalls, lush greenery, and scenic overlooks created a timeless look that perfectly complemented his style. It was a great reminder that your senior session doesn’t have to take place close to home to be meaningful.
