Welcoming a brand new baby into the world is always special, and it was such a joy to capture this sweet milestone for baby Myles and his wonderful parents, Bailey and Jonah.

Myles was born in January and came to my studio here in Greencastle for his newborn session while he was still in those precious early days of life. Those first couple of weeks are such a beautiful time to photograph. In the beginning, babies are still so tiny, sleepy, and perfectly curled up, just like they were before they arrived.

From the moment Bailey and Jonah walked into the studio with their little boy, it was clear how loved Myles already is. Bailey was so gentle and attentive as she settled him in, and Jonah watched over his son with so much pride. These quiet moments between new parents and their baby are some of my favorite things to witness and photograph.

Myles was an absolute dream during his session. He slept so peacefully for much of our time together, allowing us to capture those classic newborn poses. He had such tiny fingers curled, soft little cheeks resting on his hands, and those adorable baby stretches in between. There is something so special about documenting these details, because they change so quickly in the first few weeks of life.

One of the things I love most about newborn photography is preserving just how small babies are at this stage. Before long, those tiny toes will grow, sleepy snuggles will turn into curious smiles, and these early days will become cherished memories.

It was truly an honor that Bailey and Jonah trusted me to capture these first portraits of their sweet boy. Sessions like this are a reminder of how meaningful photography can be. I cherish being able to freeze these fleeting moments so families can look back on them for years to come.
