Meet Theo. He came to see me for a newborn session, accompanied by his two big brothers and his mom and dad. His brothers, Jadon and Luka, were so sweet and did so well. They were patient whenever baby brother, Theo, needed a snack break. They played, talked, and then rocked their photos when it was their time to shine.
I first met this family when I photographed their first son, Jadon, 4 years ago. It was a pleasure to have this time to catch up with this sweet family. Theo had the most perfect features and I so enjoyed having him in front of my camera. He loved the heat, but did not love me moving him around. When I have a newborn in the studio that isn’t loving photos, I take lots of “safe” shots in each pose. And once I’ve taken those shots, I’ll then tweak their fingers, legs, chin, etc. to get them into the position I *actually* want them in. The trouble though, is that I can’t bring myself to delete many photos so you end up with wayyyyy too many! haha
When I review photos from sessions, I forget about any troubles we may have had during the session. I’ve had many clients that remind me of how their baby cried and cried…or pooped all over me…but I rarely remember that. What I do remember is your baby’s perfect nose, pouty lips, heads full of hair, dainty toes, and more. This is a hard stage in life, but it is oh so sweet.
Thank you!
