The handsome guy on the blog today is Coalson, who just celebrated his half birthday! I met this family when we did new newborn photos and I was so excited to catch up with them and see how much their baby boy has grown! And oh my goodness.. he has grown into the smiliest, most chill baby and he was SUCH A JOY to photograph. He was so full of gummy smiles and adorable expressions. I tried to capture every nose scrunch and crooked grin and squinty eyes—he smiles with his whole body and I think MY cheeks hurt from smiling back because you just can’t help but be happy around him!

I am in love with these simple studio sessions. I really like the fact that the focus is simply on you and not on the background. Of course, I always love a gorgeous sunset photo-but I really appreciate the fact that these photos just really accentuate the personality and the connection between everyone.
