Meet Jake and Shelby. Jake is the owner of VonBernd K-9 training center in Brownsburg, IN. We’ve taken both of our dogs to Jake and he is a miracle worker! Jake and Shelby are also both foster parents and I admire them so much for the love and commitment they’ve shown little ones since they started the journey. Not pictured is their current foster baby, who is the happiest, sweetest baby around! My kids were having a good time entertaining in the background of these photos.

I have known Jake and Shelby for a few years now. I first met them through mutual friends at church. We’ve gotten to know each over the years and they have become very dear friends. If you know these two, then you know how special they are.

Jake and Shelby got to kick off my 2021 season. I’ve enjoyed the last couple of months off, but it was nice to be behind the camera again. And it was especially nice to get to hang out with such wonderful people. They brought along their dog, Titus. He is a cane corse (fun fact: they are also cane corse breeders) and even though he is trained as a protection dog, he’s also very friendly and knows when he is “off duty” and gets to enjoy lots of pets. I may or may not love him (I definitely do).

I met up with this family at DePauw Nature Park on a beautiful evening. The temperature was just right and the sunshine was glorious. These two looked absolutely gorgeous and I can’t wait to share these photos with you!
