I am thrilled to announce the newlywed couple, Mr. & Mrs. Sandusky. They were married September 26 at Big Walnut Baptist Church, in front of their closest family and friends. I got to photograph this wedding alongside the fabulous Shelby Skillet, with Cast Iron Photography. We had a beautiful day. It was the perfect temperature, with the sun peeking out from behind the clouds every once in a while. I asked Katie and Donnie for some details about the two of them and their day.

They met at the American Legion in Cloverdale in January of 2016 and after dating for a while, Donnie proposed to Katie on his birthday while they were at his property in Poland. Katie was working in the garden when he surprised her.

Katie’s favorite thing about Donnie is that he is hard working and pays attention to small detail. She likes this because it really is the small things that matter and he uses that often to show his affection towards her. Donnie said his favorite thing about Katie is that she is a good homemaker and loves God. She tries to live faithfully by His Word. He said there are too many to really choose from.

They both say that they are most looking forward to having a family together and building their new home in the future.
